Bears vs. Panthers: The Preview

Who to Pick?

The Chicago Bears came up empty against the Green Bay Packers last week, in fact they got destroyed by them. The Carolina Panthers are also coming off a destruction from last week against the Baltimore Ravens. This should be a great game this week, but if I were to have to pick one team to win, it would be the Chicago Bears.

Chicago Bears

Despite coming off an embarrassing loss from last week against the Packers, the Bears still have a bright road in front of them. It is only Week 5, and the Bears are 2-2. With 12 games left in the season, there is still a lot of changes that need to be made to this Chicago team if they want a chance at seeing the play-offs. The games that this Chicago team did win, they only won by a small point gap, but when this team lost, they lost, especially last week against the Packers. If their season continues the way they played in last weeks, game, they should kiss any chance of the play-offs goodbye. If they want to be a better team on offense, they will need to increase the amount of yards they gain per game and reduce the amount of turnovers. For the defense, they need to give the opposing quarterback more pressure and force more turnovers. Although they do have a turnover ratio of +2, they have been seen at being much better than they are performing now.

Carolina Panthers

The Panthers have just been having a horrible season if you were to compare it to last. They need to step up their game in every aspect if they want to be able to make the play-offs this season luckily though for them they are in 2nd in their division of the NC South. After the last two weeks when they got completely destroyed, by the Steelers in Week 3 and the Ravens last week. They lost the first game by 3 possessions and the last game they lost by an astonishing 4 possessions. It is astonishing to see such lousy number from a team who went 12-4 last season. Something needs to change with their offense to score more points and gain more yards because they currently 28th in the league in total points scored per game and 25th in the league in total yards gained.
